A little late in the day but nevertheless here is my fifth entry of the project.
After yesterday's piece about staircases and ones own opinion, I was led into to thinking once again about our childhood and wondering what lie inside our cupboards under the stairs. I was always creating little imaginations of what was inside my own cupboard under the stairs; sometimes dark, sometimes light-hearted. This piece takes both dark and light sides of what could be under your stair cupboard, represented through the grungy wallpaper textures (found at lostandtaken) and the light hearted giraffe, balloon and bright colours. The use of doors as visual blocks to the cupboard makes you try and work out what exactly it is that is being represented in my cupboard. What would be in your cupboard?
